About

My name is Jo Fentiman and I am the face behind Topnotch Virtual Assistant services created in 2006.

After taking the Private Secretary's Certificate at a local college, my secretarial and administrative experience has spanned 25 years in a variety of environments and for a great many senior managers and directors. I first honed my skills working for the BBC in the West End of London for 4 years, and then decided to continue my working life locally where I remained loyal to the same employer for many, many years whilst continuing to widen my skills base.

When my youngest child started school I yearned to use my skills and experience in a more "hands-on" approach that also fitted around my growing family. I happened to read an article about becoming a Virtual Assistant and knew this was perfect for me. The chance to create my own business, to forge meaningful business relationships with like-minded people and work hours that were more flexible, was too good an opportunity to pass by. Once I'd completed a course with Carmen MacDougall from CMA Coaching & Training the rest is history as we say. I settled on my business name for the simple reason; the service I promise to give my clients is the best - nothing less will do for me.

When I'm not working I love being with my family, my cats and enjoy activities such as horse-riding, pilates, aerobics, walking - anything active!
